Roses are red, Violets are Blue

With Valentine’s day quickly approaching, you will most likely be stuck in the house during this pandemic. Therefore, plan the perfect at home date night with these 7 cocktail recipes this Valentine’s day.

Valentine’s day is 2 days after bae’s birthday, so we usually do something extra such as take a trip out of state. We have been to California and Florida multiple times. I love the warm weather and beach. These trips be more for me than him LOL.

I don’t know about you but a nice drink after a long day helps me unwind and get things off my chest. My personal favorite is wine, strawberry margherita, and Grey Goose with cranberry. I also love a good sex on the beach. I am always open to try new cocktails, so I did some research on some of the most popular cocktails.

These cocktail recipes are perfect for date night, parties, and the day of love-Valentine’s day. Hope you two enjoy (*insert wink)

7. Pina Colada-the name means “strained pineapples”. It was invented in 1954 by a bartender named Ramon “Monchito” Marrero in San Juan. It is a pool side favorite worldwide.

Coconut cream is made from chilling coconut milk and then skimming off the layer of cream that floats to the top. It is very thick and tastes like coconut but is not sweetened. It is typically sold in cans next to the coconut milk.

Cream of coconut is coconut cream with lots of sugar added. It is used to sweeten tropical drinks like a classic piña colada. Because it is used in drinks, it’s sold in handy squeeze bottles. Cream of coconut is easy to find online or at your local liquor store. A popular brand is Coco Real.

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups frozen pineapple

1 ½ cups ice

½ cup plus 2 tablespoon aged rum (or white rum)

4 tablespoons Cream of Coconut (not coconut cream)

½ cup pineapple juice

2 tablespoon lime juice

Garnish with cocktail cherry

Directions:

Blend frozen pineapples and ice until chunky. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Garnish with cherry and cocktail umbrellas. So cute you can purchase umbrellas here.
