10 Goals You Should Achieve Every Year

There are 10 goals you should achieve each year. Most people struggle with achieving goals and therefore they rollover year after year. I understand everybody’s life goals are different, but they fall into these 10 categories.

Personal Goals

Do you want to lose weight? Eat healthier? Do you want to read a certain number of books? These types of goals fit under the personal category.

Personal goals are central to you. The purpose of these goals is to begin new habits to increase health, wealth, or mental well-being. Think of what good habits you want to incorporate in your daily life.

Family Goals

What goals do you want to achieve as a family? Things like more family vacations, game night once a week, or hosting get togethers are good goals to start with.

Financial Goals

Definitely set goals to increase your income by adding an additional stream of income. Whether you own your own business or add a side hustle, these days you need additional streams of income.

Also, you should set a budget and work on paying off one debt by the end of the year. Keep your savings and emergency accounts paid.

Education Goals

Planning to go back to school? Create a plan first. Know how many hours you need to complete in the program. Will you work full-time or part-time while going to school? What about childcare? Just some things to consider.

Also the children’s educational goals should be written here too. Will they go to preschool or start kindergarten? What type of education style fits them- Montessori, Paideia, College Prep? Give your children the best but don’t overexert yourself financially or with commute.

Health Goals

Are you ready to prioritize your health? Come up with a meal plan by tracking calories and nutritional value. Limit additional salt, sugar, and soda.

Set a goal to drink at least 64 oz of water per day. Drinking more water flushes out toxins in the body and can aid weight loss. As always eat fruits and vegetables every day to increase metabolism.

Mental Health Goals

Mental health is so important in personal growth. You must have mental clarity in order to set realistic goals. Maintaining optimistic views and a growth mindset will help you stay focused on the journey.

If you need additional support hiring a coach or mentor will help. A coach will guide you, educate you, and keep you accountable on your mental health goals such as self-care, wellness, and mindset.

Another support system is a therapist/counselor/psychiatrist. I put all three because they are based on your individual needs. If you struggle with severe mental health issues that threaten your quality of life then definitely enroll in therapy.

Career Goals

Are you satisfied with your current job? Looking to switch industries? Then set a career goal so you are happy in your job.

You can go back to school or get more education or come up with a plan on how to move up your current corporate ladder.

Business Goals

Thinking of starting your own business? You need to research, research, and research to set realistic goals for your business. Research your competition, your target audience, and why you would succeed in this market.

If you own a business, look at your revenue goals and how to scale your business. Marketing goals is so important so you know how to funnel customers or clients from social media to checkout.

Spiritual Goals

Spiritual goals are good if you want to meditate more often, trust your intuition, or have a deeper relationship with a higher power. You can also look at how you want to practice spiritual beliefs and what tools will work for you.
